Del' Patio, The Evolution of Latin Hip-Hop

Latin Urban music has gone through many progressions since artists such as Daddy Yankee and Tego Calderon burst onto the scene in the mid 2000's. One such evolution comes in the form of future Latin Hip-Hop super group, Del' Patio. This revolutionary group consists of prodigy lyricist and songwriter, Sensato aka Will Reyna, and his partner in rhyme, the incomparable hook specialist, Zawezo aka Alex Garcia. The song choice of devoted Latin Hip-Hop fans has steadily changed throughout the years and the traditional dembo rhythm and Reggaetton rhyme is no longer their only option. The people want variety without compromising musical integrity, and it seems they have found it in the sound of Del' Patio.

The NYC based, Bronx raised Del' Patio has been working diligently on getting their unique brand of Latin Hip-Hop to the masses with a host of intensive touring, television exposure, radio and print. "The true Latin hip hop fan has always been our inspiration, and we strive to provide great content with the mass appeal necessary for us to take it to the next level (Sensato)". The group chose to continue recording and touring throughout their native Dominican Republic in late 07' and parts of 08' to ensure that the music created would remain true to their mantra, "Yo Soy Del Patio". During their stay abroad, Del' Patio earned acclaim and notoriety as well as opportunities to open up for the legendary Wu Tang Clan, as well as the much publicized Telemicro TV End of the year celebration.

Rejuvenated, refreshed, and inspired, Del' Patio returned state side in 2008 in hopes of inking a distribution deal and working on the second half of their anticipated debut album fittingly titled: Yo Soy Del Patio. "We are currently in negotiations with a few distribution companies so that hopefully we can remain on schedule and drop the album late summer of this year (Frank Reyna, CEO Tiburon Records)". Del' Patio is gaining momentum for a break out year by continuing to sharpen their stage show with various shows in the tri-state area as well as recently moving a crowd in Montreal, Canada.

The Del' Patio movement has grown leaps and bounds since the inception of the group and can now be heard by adoring fans as far east as Barcelona and as far south as Guatemala. The promotional single "Lo Palo", a vibrant mixture of native conga beats and modern flow, has generated a steady buzz. In May of 2008, their single "Lo Palo" was spotted as high as #6 in Record Pool Charts, a segment of the respected publication Radio and Records magazine, which gauges song spins within the national night club scene.

Much respect to all the original songwriters like Sensato and Zawezo of Del' Patio as well all the producers who continue to pour their souls onto their music regardless of fame or fortune. True talent can only be suppressed for as long as the talented allow it to be.
