El camino to New Orleans and back to Miami
Posted by: Richard Chiriboga Posted: 10-05-2012Looking forward to our show this Saturday Oct 6 in Paul's hood, New Orleans, at the Blue Nile. Maybe you know, maybe you don't know, but the Venezuelan elections are this Sunday Oct 7th and the consulate in Miami is closed for what we'll call "shady" reasons. So then the closest place for the Venezuelan population of the South East USA to vote is.... drum roll. New Orleans!
We're hearing rumors of 11,000 venezuelans headed to New Orelans for the elections, and to date I have not seen anything about it in the local New Orleans newspaper. It's going to be a like Venezuelan flash mob- everywhere and then *poof* gone! leaving the citizens of new orleans to wonder 'what had happened?' And let us say for the record.... Hay un camino. Can't wait to hang with our panas in New Orleans. Please spread the word and share with your friend'amigos!
But we digress.. our last show we had a blast at The Stage with Domino Saints. Great crowd, great venue, and awesome to share the bill with the amazing duo Domino Saints. Check em out at dominosaints.com. We're fortunate to have some video of the evening courtesy of Las Gringas Blog- a clip of Aire de Primavera and Paul sitting in with Domino Saints. Unfortunately there is no video of Angelina and Carlos from Elephant Queen singing Cielito Lindo for Mexican Independence Day, but it sounded a bit like this. I swear.
Can't wait to go back there to The Stage to perform... oh, no wait but we are going back- Friday Oct 12th we'll be back there opening up for Locos Por Juana, multi Grammy nominated, "Miami’s beloved Latin-Reggae-Hip-Hop mashup masters" (Miami Herald) Hasta las quince!
