After conquering Mexico with their "Sinister pop" style and receiving two Latin Grammy nominations in 2010, Jotdog, the duo formed by María Barracuda and Jorge Chiquis Amaro, releases today on iTunes U.S. their sophomore album Jotdog 2: Turista del Amor.

"Lluvia de Estrellas" the first single from their new album became an instant hit in Mexico, reaching the Top 5 in national radio charts and remaining for several weeks in the Top 5 of national video channels. This week, "Lluvia de Estrellas" has been chosen as Single of the Week by iTunes Latino, offering free downloads to iTunes users.

The new musical concept by Jotdog, Jotdog 2: Turista del Amor has captured the attention of Mexican music critics, earning high praise by the most important publications in the country. The newspaper El Informador describes the album as "An energetic mix of sounds", while MixUp Magazine calls it: "A very interesting concept that cleverly exploits electropop with lyrics inspired by the lack of love and science fiction of yesterday."

Jotdog begins its U.S. promotional tour in late January with a visit to Los Angeles, California to present the new album to U.S. fans.

With the release of their first album, María Barracuda and Jorge Chiquis Amaro earned the title for Best New Artist at Premios Oye! 2010; and two nominations as Best New Artist and Best Pop Vocal Album Duo or Group at the 2010 Latin Grammy Awards.

Recently the duo was been nominated for Best Pop Group for Premios Oye! 10th Annual Awards that will take place February 9th in Mexico.
