Hewlett Packard, one of the pioneers of great electronics and computers has teamed up with CorrienteLatina.com in an effort to shed more light on their products to the English speaking Latino community.
Our first effort together is to introduce our audience to their 14" Envy Laptop - Beats by Dre Edition. I had to take some time to work with the machine intensly to really get a feel for how the machine functions and how it performs in the tasks that I deal with everyday on corrienteLatina.
At first glance, the machine seemed solid and rugged. It feels like you can drop it by mistake with minimal damage occuring, but once you open the laptop itself it screems sleak and elegance. The 14" monitor is perfect for me to drop in my back and take with me anywhere. From posting news, music, images and much more there really wasnt anything that caused me to say "I can't do this from this machine".
Lets get a little technical for a second to really get down to what the machine has:
- Geniune Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit)
- Processor is an i-5 and upgradable to i-7
- 1 GB DDR3 Radeon Graphics card
- from 6GB - 12GB RAM.
- from 128GB - 750GB+ hard drive
- 8 Cell Lithium Ion Battery
- Networking with Intel 802.11a/b/g/n WLAN and Bluetooth(R)
- Keyboard with Red Backlit keys
- 3 USB ports
- HDMI
- HP TrueVision HD Webcam
- CoolSense (one of my favorite features)
So as you can see this is not a simple machine. you can pretty much do anything you want on it without the limitations on hard drive space (like saving pro tools sessions, large files or a ton of music), to being able to work with the laptop on your lap and not worry about giving your knees 3rd degree burns.
