More kudos for Dominican Johnny Pacheco, "Father of Salsa"

New York.- Dominican Today collaborator Jessie Ramirez was part of the many friends and admirers who celebrated Latin music maestro Johnny Pacheco's during the 50 anniversary in show business.

Ramirez, journalist and producer, has been friends with the salsa great for 25 years, and together with Celia Cruz, Rolando Laserie, Pete Conde Rodriguez and Hector Casanova, has traveled around the world with the stars of the legendary Fania record label.

Another Dominican, Milly Quesada, herself considered the "Queen of Merengue," as also performing during the fest staged in the Madison Square Garden to honor who's described as the "Father of Salsa."
