nuvoTV - THE HIT COMPETITION SERIES BEGINS PRODUCTION ON ITS 5TH SEASON IN FEBRUARY 2012 - SEARCH FOR THE NEXT "MODEL LATINA" WITH OPEN CASTING CALL IN MIAMI
nuvoTV, the leader in primetime Latino audience composition among all English-language cable networks, today announced that its hit reality/competition series, Model Latina, will be returning for its 5th season in fall of 2012. Model Latina is television’s first competition series that specifically celebrates the distinctive beauty of what it means to be Latina. In the show, ambitious Latinas from coast to coast live in a single house while simultaneously being tested on beauty, smarts, style, and culture. Past Model Latina winners Jessica Caban (season one, 2008, held in Los Angeles), Codie Cabral (2009, Miami), Elora Perez (2010, New York) and Erika Cavazos (2011, Las Vegas) have used the show as a springboard to successful careers in acting and modeling for brands including L’Oreal, Steve Madden, Reebok, Sephora and others.
This year’s Model Latina winner will receive a MAJOR cash prize, a contract with a top modeling agency, and will become nuvoTV’s newest national spokesperson. Production is slated to begin in February.
nuvoTV has partnered with Xfinity in Miami for the season 5 Model Latina Open Casting Event.
