Diana Mera was born on October 2nd in the city of Quito, Ecuador. She was raised in Lima, Peru and had the opportunity to live in different countries like México, Venezuela, Switzerland and the U.S. were she resides now. Mera who always showed a great desire to sing, started her career in internationally prestigious TV shows such as Despierta América in Univisión and De Mañanita in Telemundo, which has led her to place four music videos in well known music shows like VHUNO and MTV Español and others. The power and sensuality of her original voice distinguish her as a strong and unique exponent of the Latin Pop genre. Diana has received constant support from the press thanks to her charisma and personality. Recently she was featured in important radio and television shows like El Gordo y La Flaca, América en Vivo, Univisión Radio, Caracol and Cadena Azul. In addition, Diana Mera is a composer (BMI) and also an actor; she was part of the acclaimed play written by Eve Ensler The Vagina Monologues and she was nominated as best actress.
In recent months Mera had the chance to perform for the talk show diva Cristina Saralegui, who invited Diana to her show and applauded what she is doing with her career. At present, Diana is recording her second music album with great producers such as Gustavo Borner, two times Grammy winner and Dany Tomas composer of innumerable hits that have been recorded by celebrities like Araceli Arambula, Cristian Castro, Diego Torres, Lara Fabian and many others; in this musical production we also count with the talented song writer Claudia Brant and well known musicians that have recorded for Ricky Martin and Paulina Rubio. This new album assures to leave the audience in ecstasies.
