Reik, Bunbury, Fonseca And Other Sesac Latina Singer-Songwriters Nominated For The 2012 Latin Grammys

SESAC Latina affiliates received nominations in several major categories for the awards event which are scheduled for November 15 at Las Vegas' Mandalay Bay.
Among the SESAC Latina singer-songwriters who are received nominations in the prestigious awards are the eclectic, veteran Spanish rocker Enrique Bunbury (SGAE), the Mexican pop-rock group Reik and the Colombian singer/songwriter Fonseca (SAYCO), who among them capture a total of five nominations.
A 2009 Latin Grammy® Award winner for "Un Día Más" as Best Album Pop/Duet/Group, Reik, with two of its three members affiliated with SESAC Latina, is nominated in the categories of Album of the Year for "Peligro" (Danger) and Song of the Year for "Creo En Ti" (I Believe in You), which was co-written by Gilberto 'Bibi' Marín.
Fonseca, winner of the 2008 Latin Grammy® Award for "Te Mando Flores" as Best Tropical Song of the Year, is nominated in the categories of Best Tropical Fusion Album for Ilusión+ (Illusion+) and Best Tropical Song for "Desde Que No Estás" (Since You've Been Gone).
In his role as script co-writer and lead actor, Enrique Bunbury is nominated for the Latin Grammy® in the category of Best Long form Video for "Licenciado Cantinas, The Movie." This ambitious project dovetails with his recent album "Licenciado Cantinas" (Mr. Cantinas, Esq.). This is Enrique Bunbury's fourth Latin Grammy® nomination from the Latin Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, after being a finalist in 2002, 2009 and 2010.
Other SESAC Latina affiliates who've made creative contributions to Latin Grammy® -nominated albums include songwriters Eduardo Cisneros, whose songs are included on the album "Sinaloense Hasta Las Cachas" (Sinaloan From Head to Toe) by Fidel Rueda; and Ariel Barreras (SACM), who contributed to the album "Irreversible ... 2012" by La Arrolladora Banda El Limón de René Camacho (which features Barreras' chart-topping smash "Llamada De Mi Ex"). Both of these productions are nominated in the
Best Banda Album category.
Meanwhile, the world-renowned Spanish singer-songwriter and SESAC Latina affiliate Luz Casal (SGAE) will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Latin Grammy®
on November 14, one day before the main ceremony.
