If you are a coffee junkie like I am, I am sure you have hit up a starbucks or two in your day.  Well if you have set foot into the calorie mega-mart, I am sure you have seen those little cards that starbucks has near the registers to download a free song from iTunes.  If you have then suprise! starbucks has now opened that card up to more than just some abstract song you probably would have never listened to in the first place and added free apps as well. But hold on to your accounts people.  Starbucks with its partnership with Apple, has now expanded that same concept to iBooks and more!

So whats next? Well as luck may have it, its first free application is Shazam Encore. This application sells on iTunes currently for $5.99. Thats right 6 bucks!  To kick off this expansion, Starbucks will feature this application for FREE starting August 23rd.

Now, you need to have a card with the promotion number and such and its in limited supply.  So if you find a card, then make use of it.  If you dont know what Shazam is, its an app that lets you basically hold your phone in the air and have it "listen" to a song on the radio and such and it will identify the song so you will know who the artist is and the name of the song.

Happy hunting. Oh and if you happen to find a card, save me one. I need that app and I am not paying $5.99 for it. thanks!
