Viva Entertainment Network celebrates special tribute to "The King of Rancheras" Vicente Fernandez from the City of Chicago.
"The King of Rancheras," Vicente Fernandez will receive a very special tribute by the City of Chicago, the State of Illinois and Viva Entertainment Network. Vicente Fernández will be presented with the key to the city and the state of Illinois proclamation by Senator, Antonio Muñoz. Additionally the city will recognize Oct. 20-27 as Vicente Fernández week and will name a street, Vicente Fernández Way in Chicago.
Vicente Fernandez will be on hand to personally accept the tribute, which will be presented by Alderman George Cardenas. Ivan Fernandez, president of Viva Entertainment Network, a company that has backed the singer's career throughout theyears, is also confirmed. City and state representatives, as well as members from thecommunity and business leaders will also be in attendance.

After more than four decades on stage, multiple Grammy awards and millions ofrecords sold, Vicente Fernandez has decided he will retire. His Farewell Tour,presented by Viva Entertainment Network, kicked off in April and will concludein November. Elected officials will take advantage of his last stop in Chicago torecognize his brilliant career and contributions to the Mexican community. Vicente Fernández will perform live at the Allstate Arena, October 20 and 21st with 35,000 tickets already sold.
