About Jon Lajoie:
Canadian comedian and actor Jon Lajoie is one of the few talents who has been able to manifest the cult following for his Internet videos into a mainstream audience, placing him in a preeminent spot in the comedy landscape. Despite some crude subject matter, his surprisingly intelligent lyrics and well crafted songs chronicle everything from boring everyday activities to genitals and getting high. His videos have over 200 million aggregate views on YouTube and the web, with "Show Me Your Genitals" nearing the benchmark of 20 million views on YouTube.
This past year Jon's online success has translated into the acting and touring worlds. Jon has done multiple tours of the United States and Canada in conjunction with the release of his record breaking album "You Want Some of This" on iTunes and Amazon.com, and will kick off a Live Nation tour in the first quarter of 2010. Many of his die-hard fans don t-shirts emblazoned with the characters' distinct visages. Lajoie has also parodied late-night infomercials, peddling "pedophile beards," "rapist glasses," and methods of stress relief in his "Not Giving a F**k" video.
Jon stars in the FX series "The League" created by Jeff and Jackie Schaffer, co-starring Stephen Rannazzisi, Mark Duplass, Nick Kroll, and Paul Scheer -- an ensemble improv comedy revolving around the fantasy football world. Lajoie previously starred in "L'Auberge Du Chien Noir" ("The Inn of the Black Dog"), a primetime dramedy on French-Canadian TV after graduating from Dawson College's theatre program in 2001. Lajoie was born and raised in Saint-Hubert, Quebec, third in a family of nine children.
