Recap: Bluefly x Priv #NYFW 2015

September, 10-NYFW kicked off day 1 of Fashion Week at their new homes Skylight Clarkson Square and Skylight at Moynihan Station. This month marks a lot of changes in the fashion capital with venues, sponsors, shows and digital technology. Givenchy gave away 1, 200 tickets to the public for one of their NYFW shows. Mobile stations have been set up with Glam Squad to transport NYFW guests to the main locations and pamper them before showtime. Many of NYFW events are free and open to the public with exceptions. Bluefly & Priv were one of many events that kicked off the week with a beauty night.

Bluefly is a designer retailer that is sold exclusively online. They teamed up with beauty on demand app Priv to host a night of shop, sip, mingle, and pamper at Sixty Soho. This event was invite only for media and bloggers to preview brands and network. It was held in a suite and sponsored by Maven cocktails. The specialty cocktail is a mix between wine and vodka that has a very sweet taste and offered in different flavors. Guests were treated to a variety of beauty services for the evening. Mini manicures, massages, makeup touch-ups and hair styling were the complimentary services. Appointments had to be made through the Priv app to receive any service.

Priv is different than most beauty apps because you can view the stylist profile before booking and they can meet you at any location for your appointment. Most apps only go to the client’s home for services. Priv has been in business for a little over two years and is making a name for itself. The app can be downloaded on google play or the app store for free. For more info, visit www.gopriv.com or www.bluefly.com.
