Atomic Films, founded by Film Director, Danny Hastings, a visionary Panamanian and Mexican American creative icon, announces the open casting call for a new documentary-short surrounding epic real-life stories of love. Atomic, one of the nation’s leading cross-cultural creative production studios will select four deserving stories from the New York tristate area to film this spring. Applications must be submitted via in English or Spanish by March 5, 2016.

Danny Hastings is a passionate story-teller with a litany of artistic accomplishments which includes shooting and designing the visual branding for chart-topping acts and iconic brands, including prolific album artwork for the likes of WuTang (36 Chambers), Nas (It Was Written), Aventura (K.O.B: Live), Jodeci (Diary of a Mad Band) and Eminem (Bad Meets Evil), to newer talents like Taylor Momsen (The Pretty Reckless).

In addition to the photographer’s extraordinary work within the hip-hop and rock alternative genres, Hastings has positioned himself as a paramount music video director for Latin entertainment, and has collaborated with megawatt stars including R&B and urban star, Prince Royce (Darte un Beso, 700 million steams) and Mexican Regional crooner, Gerardo Ortiz (Damaso, 300 million steams), to fashion editorials with Star Trek actress, Zoe Saldana. An avid ambassador for diversity, Hastings is also the founder of The Official Latino Film Festival— a platform created to spotlight the works of emerging Hispanic filmmakers.

The New York based filmmaker, father, husband and philanthropist, is no stranger to capturing the power of love through his lenses. Danny also created and executive produced the indie flick, The Love Potion.
