Amazon has announced the finalists for its 4th Literary Award for Spanish-Language Independent Authors.
The finalists were chosen from more than 1,800 works of fiction and non-fiction submitted earlier this summer by independent authors representing 39 countries. They demonstrate the diversity of genres and styles available to readers from Spanish-language authors through Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP).
Next, a panel of Amazon leaders and top authors will select the overall winner. The judges include: Ismael Cala, best-selling author and coach; Blanca Miosi, best-selling Latin American author; and Jordi Sierra i Fabra, best-selling Spanish author.
The author of the winning book will have the opportunity to have his or her book published globally in Spanish by Amazon Publishing in digital, print and audio formats, and translated into English and published globally by AmazonCrossing, which introduces readers to authors from around the world. There also is a cash prize of $5,000 USD.
While the entry period for this year’s contest has ended, the journey continues for all participating authors. Amazon’s annual literary award gives anyone with an interest in writing an opportunity to be an international bestseller, while giving readers the chance to discover new authors either from their home country or elsewhere.
