Womeneur Launch & Shopping Soiree

The streets of Dumbo in Brooklyn have been making waves with the growth of residences and local businesses. The once industrial area has also become popular with rental venues for special occasions. A lovely brick building on 155 Water Street facing the anchorage, which is known as Dumbo loft opened its space for the launch of Womeneur. This launch was created to bring female businesses together to celebrate and connect professions. The event was surrounded by several vendors including beauty, special events, organic body care, organic tea and hand crafted jewelry. Each vendor had product knowledge, discounts and special giveaways. What I loved is that all of the businesses are in Brooklyn. Some of the vendors have been featured in the New York Times, Daily News and other publications. I was very impressed by the quality of the brands and many were afro centric.

After 30 minutes into the event, there was a huge rush with the crowd. Most vendor stations were packed and each vendor took the time to speak to guests and provided product testing. Three liquor brands provided cocktails and ginger beer to all guests. The launch was in the perfect spot by being away from most businesses and near the bridge. All of the vendors that were there seem to fit most of the guests’ personas.
