COASTCITY the duo comprised of Jean Rodríguez and Danny Flores, are undoubtedly two of the most respected names in the industry for their musical trajectory recently adding Beyoncé to their roster. Jean Rodríguez worked closely with Beyoncé at her private studio as her Latin vocal co-producer for J Balvin & Willy William’s “Mi Gente” remix which has garnered over 11 millions of views in less than a week.
Following this incredible accomplishment, COASTCITY will be premiering their seductive and rhythmic single “Desconocidos” (Strangers) today in Los Angeles through a Facebook Live on Hispanicize’s page at 4:30 PM PST/ 7:30 PM EST.Hispanicize is the largest annual event for Latino trendsetters and newsmakers in digital content creation, journalism, marketing, entertainment and tech entrepreneurship.
“’Desconocidos’ is a story about love at first sight. We wanted the music to take you to a scene where two strangers find their way to each other through a maze of lights, un-usual timelines and beats,” explains Jean Rodríguez.
“The song was carefully written a few months ago in our studio in Miami, FL. It started with the soulful chord progressions and then we started giving it unique a character by getting sounds and beat loops from this super old crappy B-1 organ that we bought at a Salvation Army a decade ago. All these elements together made it so smooth, soulful with that Caribbean vibe yet it still makes you dance and feel really good,” affirms Danny Flores.
After a successful showcase with U-Lab Music (Univision) with the purpose of raising funds for the victims of hurricane Irma, Jean’s trip to Puerto Rico along with his brother Luis Fonsi, Ricky Martin and many other artists and athletes to drop off supplies to all those affected by hurricane María, COASTCITY will be doing promo this week in California and next week in New York.
In addition, they will be performing at the Hispanicize LA event this Wednesday October 4th at 5 PM PST. To register for the conference and/or attendCOASTCITY’s showcase please click on this link:
