Deezer, the world’s most personal music service, is backing up some of today’s emerging and top Latino artists through its Deezer NEXT program, which was created to support the artists with profile development, playlisting and Artist Marketing campaigns for 12 months. Additionally, Deezer NEXT helps artist expand their music reach to new audiences across the globe, where artists like Brytiago, Justin Quiles, Javiera Mena, Greeicy Irie Kingz and Mike Bahia have already experienced a 226.8% increase in streams and 488.48% increase in new fans combined in 2018 alone.

New talent joining Deezer NEXT include Daddy Yankee, Leslie Grace and J Balvin.

Daddy Yankee

Deezer worked with Reggaeton “Big Boss” Daddy Yankee to hand-select Brytiago, a Puerto Rican singer and songwriter, as part of the Deezer NEXT program. Brytiago, who signed to Daddy Yankee’s El Cartel Records, was the first Latin artist to be named a local Deezer NEXT artist in both the US and in Latin America.

Leslie Grace

Leslie Grace was announced as an act of Deezer NEXT 2018. Leslie Grace’s multi-platinum single “Duro y Suave” featuring Noriel, expanded her to a new audience and helped Leslie achieve the highest performing single of her career to date. Recently, she was the first Latin artist to collaborate with a K-Pop band on the single “Lo Siento” with Super Junior.

J Balvin

Deezer’s latest marketing campaign “Music Meets AI” positions Deezer as a challenger in the market and highlights how Deezer’s Flow feature uses artificial intelligence (AI) and feedback from users to create an endless supply of tracks across genres, creating a personalized experience for each listener. The TV spot brings to life a future where AI is running the world, but music brings together the robots and humans in dance. The spot features the song “Bum Bum Tam Tam”, by Latin artists MC Fioti, J Balvin, Stefflon Don and Juan Magan, and encourages music fans to download the free app and discover their Flow on Deezer.

Deezer NEXT continues to identify emerging international talent and also includes LeeBrian, Johann Vera and Sofi Tukker in its Latin artist lineup, offering current and new fans an opportunity for exclusive content, including behind-the-scenes and fan footage.
