It was a night to remember for singer Jojo at the Samsung 837 store in the Meatpacking District. A live concert was held in celebration of her new album Mad Love. In 2004, Jojo started her professional career at 13 years old with her breakout hit “Leave (Get Out)”. The sold out event was outstanding love from fans all over who stood online for hours, and cramped into the three-level store to see the girl that never changed.
The concert started almost an hour late, but it was well worth the wait. Jojo stole our hearts as she performed a six song set with her live band. Her vocals never left and poured her heart into every performance especially her song “I am” which is dedicated to her deceased father. The song was extremely emotional as you can feel the message of the lyrics. Throughout the night, the love was there as you heard the screams and cheers. She made sure no one was left out as she walked through the crowd.
After the performance, a special Q&A was hosted as Jojo answered twitter questions. It took her a year to make the album writing songs about past relationships and other trials and tribulations. When one door closes, another one opens. Never give up! Mad Love is her first studio album in 10 years! Go to your local stores or order online. Special thanks to MaxHellion and Samsung!
