Cáthia, the songstress known as “The Little girl with a Big Voice,” premieres new video “Volar” (Fly) today on Telemundo’s TV show Al Rojo Vivo at 4 PM EST. “Volar” is the new single from her latest EP, also titled Volar, which debuted a couple of weeks ago.
The video is about Cáthia’s actual life and her effort to balance school and work while pursuing her dreams. It was shot in New York City and directed by Carlos Escobar together with production company Art As Collective Action. Escobar became recognized in the industry after directing the videos “Que Más Puedo Hacer”, “Sobrenatural” and “Solo Un Baile” for artist and producer JEAN, who produced Cáthia’s EP.
“I wanted the video for ‘Volar’ to give viewers a glimpse of what my life is like…balancing school, music, rehearsals and my personal life, all to the backdrop of my hometown, New York City. I’m so happy that people will get a chance to see my story. I hope that this video will inspire and motivate all that see it. When I saw the final cut of ‘Volar’, I felt a sense of triumph and overwhelming happiness. The song and video are about pursuing your passions and realizing that every step of the way is a victory to reach that final goal,” affirms Cáthia.
This week Cáthia be doing promotion in Miami, FL and then returning to New York where he will continue working so that her music is heard in all corners of the world!
For Cáthia, her career is much more than just writing and singing. She hopes to use her talents to inspire and motivate others. “If my music can motivate others in some way to fight for their dreams, achieve their greater goals, and follow the passion in their hearts, my mission will be accomplished,” says Cáthia.
