Ana TijouxAna Tijoux and La Vida Boheme were both winners at the 15th annual Latin Grammy’s celebration in Las Vegas. Ana Tijoux won ‘Record of the Year” for her collaboration with Jorge Drexler, while La Vida Boheme won for ‘Best Music Video.’

This is Ana Tijoux’s first career Latin Grammy win, after Grammy and Latin Grammy nominations for both of her previous albums with Nacional Records, ‘1977‘ and ‘La Bala.’ She won the 2014 Latin Grammy ‘Record of the Year‘ for “Universos Paralelos,” her collaboration with Academy Award winner Jorge Drexler. She was also nominated this year for ‘Best Urban Song‘ for “Vengo,” the title track from her most recent album.

After winning “Best Rock Album” at last year’s Latin Grammy’s for ‘Será,’ La Vida Boheme won their second career Latin Grammy, award for “Best Music Video” for the animated short film adaptation of “Flamingo”.’ The vintage Walt Disney-inspired video, which took almost 4 years to finish, was directed by Carl Zitelmann and produced by Cesar Elster, and featured a global team of animators known for their work on classic videos from Gorillaz.

Ana Tijoux was nominated in 3 categories at this year’s Latin Grammy’s, including “Best Urban Song” for the title track from her recent album ‘Vengo,’ which debuted #1 on the iTunes Latin charts and earned strong praise from Newsweek, NPR, Billboard, Spin, Rolling Stone, NY Times and more.  ‘Vengo‘ is the follow-up to Ana Tijoux’s 2013 Grammy and Latin Grammy nominated album ‘La Bala.’ The buzz around Ana Tijoux has been steadily building since her Grammy nominated debut ‘1977’ was featured in ‘Breaking Bad,’ ‘Dancing With the Stars’ and the FIFA video game.

Previous Latin Grammy winner Jarabe de Palo was also nominated for 3 awards this year, including “Album of the Year” “Best Rock Song” and “Best Pop/Rock Album” for his latest record ‘Somos.’ Fronted by prolific songwriter Pau Donés, Barcelona-based Jarabe de Palo originally broke onto the international scene with their smash hit “La Flaca.” Throughout their storied career, Jarabe de Palo has been nominated for 16 Latin Grammy’s and sold more than five million albums worldwide.

In its first 9 years, Nacional Records has earned 67 Latin Grammy and Grammy wins and nominations. This year, Nacional Records artists had nominations in Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Rock Song, Best Urban Song, Best Pop Rock Album and Best Short Form Video
