Latino rocker and Austin’s premier electric violinist VITERA announced the forthcoming release of the Tequila Rock EP today. The long-awaited follow up to 2010’s debut Súbete features five new rock-fueled, Latin-infused tracks in English, Spanish and Spanglish laced with VITERA’s signature 7-string Viper violin riffs. Highlights include the hard-rocking lead single (“That’s Just La Vida”) and a collaboration with San Antonio’s famed all-female Mariachi Las Coronelas (“Que Pasara”). The EP will see a formal release on January 5 and a corresponding Tequila Rock Tour kicks off with a performance at Historic Live Music Venue Stubb’s in Austin onSaturday January 9th. A slew of spring shows and special appearances planned in Texas, Los Angeles, Nashville and New York will follow.
“The future of Rock Latino in America is Rock Latino made in America. Whether we sing in English, Spanish or both, we are American artists who wholeheartedly embrace our Latino roots while taking great pride in the fact that we live, make music, and chase our dreams here in the United States.” said VITERA. “I am beyond excited by this new collection of tunes and can’t wait to get out there and fly the flag for the American Rockero!”
