"A&X Are Taking The Urban Music Industry By Storm"
Music producers Milton “Alcover” Restituyo andJuan “Xtassy” Abreu (A&X) are taking over the Urban music industry and setting the bar high as they continue to produce hit after hit. Their recent production, “The Rise: Latin Street Hits, debuted in May and topped the No. 1 spot in the Urban Latin Album chart and No. 3 in the Latin Music chart.
Recently, the award-winning and multi-platinum selling duo recently teamed up with Farruko to produce a remix of his hit single “Obsesionado,” which features Luis Vargas. And, just last month, it was announced that the duo would be producing “Good Girl” the new Akon and Don Omar collaboration.
Besides producing, A&X are also known for writing powerful and electrifying original songs. USA Network’s new drama series “The Queen of the South,” starring Alice Braga, features the single “Heroe” sung by Jhoni The Voice, the track was produced and co-written byA&X.
A&X also the masterminds behind Don Omar’s number one hit singles “Dutty Love,” “Taboo”from the “Fast and Furious Five” soundtrack and “Danza Kuduro,”  for which they garnered the Latin Billboard ‘Producer of the Year’ Award.
Although, “Danza Kuduro” was released in 2010, its continued success speaks highly of hardworking producing duo. The song currently tops prominent music lists, including Latin Digital Songs at No. 8, Latin Streaming Song at No. 11 and sits high above at No. 2 on iTunes Top Latin Urban Songs chart.
Last month, bachata sensation Toby Love released his highly-anticipated album, “Bachata Nation,” for which he enlisted the help of Alcover, who ultimately collaborated on two songs for the album, “Amaneciendo” and “Soñando.” The album debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Tropical Albums.
A&X’s list of recent projects continues to grow exponentially; a few weeks ago they produced the remix of Canadian up-and-coming singer Alx Veliz’ “Danzing Kizomba.” The song features, their longtime friend and business partner Don Omar.
Over the years, A&X have worked with various musical giants, including Carlos Vives, Romeo Santos, Henry Santos, Pitbull, Daddy Yankee, Selena Quintanilla (2012 tribute album), Zion Y Lennox, J Balvin, Alex Sensation, Magic Juan, Farruko, Maffio, Messiah, Natti Natasha, J Alvarez, Arcangel, Mozart La Para, Poeta Callejero, Mark B and Don Miguelo to name a few.
