Multiple GrammyÂ® Award Winner Sergio George will receive the BMI Presidentâ€™s Award at the 23rd annual BMI Latin Awards, slated for March 31 at the Fontainebleau in Miami Beach, Fla. The private ceremony salutes the songwriters and publishers of 2014â€™s most-performed Latin songs on American radio and television in the U.S.
The BMI Presidentâ€™s Award is presented to songwriters, composers, producers or executives who have profoundly influenced the entertainment industry.

Hosted by BMI President & CEO Mike Oâ€™Neill and Orjuela, the BMI Latin Awards will also celebrate the Latin Song, Songwriter and Publisher of the Year.
An established leader in the Latin music community, George is a multitalented producer, pianist and composer. He has worked alongside and mentored artists such as Marc Anthony, Victor Manuelle, Tito Puente, Oscar Dâ€™LeÃ³n, Celia Cruz, Tito Nieves and Jennifer Lopez, among others. As the President of Top Stop Music, a label known for nurturing the success of future superstars like Prince Royce, George is considered an undeniable hit maker and has spent decades developing talent and producing classic records for every major artist in the genre.
His list of awards includes sixteen GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY awards, including the recent 2014â€™s Producer of the Year. He is a four-time Latin GRAMMY winner for Producer of the Year, the most awards any producer has received in Latin GRAMMY history. At the 2013 Latin GRAMMY awards, George won Best Salsa Album of the Year for Sergio George Presents Salsa Giants, which ranked #1 on the Billboard Tropical Albums Sales Chart and #2 on the Billboard Top Latin Chart.
In receiving this award, George joins an elite list of past honorees that includes Juanes, Pitbull, Carlos Vives, Kike Santander, Taylor Swift, Adam Levine, Emilio & Gloria Estefan and Willie Nelson.
