Salvadoran songstress Cáthia presents her new production, Volar, a collection of three songs perfectly capturing her personal and musical journey. The EP includes the single “Volar” and two additional songs, “Amor Puro” (Pure Love) and “Me Tengo Que Ir” (I Must Leave), and will be available in all digital retailers.
“This EP is my reflection, on both a musical and personal level. I am thrilled to share this project with the world as it has been a unique experience for me. Every song means something special and I feel like I’ve grown as an artist through ‘Volar’. I also hope to inspire those who hear it to work hard in order to achieve their goals and connect with my music on a personal level. As the lyrics in my EP say, ‘there is only one life’. I’m excited to see what’s next for me,” says Cáthia.
This EP featured a superb production team, led by JEAN and Danny Flores, along with other talented and renown musicians in the industry such as: Willy Colon (guitar), Danny Flores (piano), John Samson Rodriguez (drums) and George Ponce (bass). The lyrics are original compositions written by Cáthia, JEAN, Willy Colon and Danny Flores. It was recorded in Miami, FL, mixed by Andrés Saavedra (nominated for a 2015 Latin Grammy for Producer of the Year) and mastered by Mike Fuller (Rod Stewart, Celia Cruz, and Kany Garcia, among others).
“This EP is like running through a field of sunflowers in the middle of New York City…bright stories from a city girl. It touches the heart while putting a smile on your face. Its honest, uplifting and fresh. Cáthia is a true artist and vocalist who does not depend on any production tricks. Just raw beautiful lyrics, melodies and music…” affirms JEAN.
Cáthia is doing currently on promotion in New York and will soon be in Miami. In the coming weeks she will be releasing the video to “Volar” which will take you on a very beautiful and special journey throughout Cáthia’s native and beloved city.
