After their hailed performance at the 2014 VIVA EL PLANETA festival marking the band’s first visit to Colombia, Spanish band CHE SUDAKA gladly announce their debut performance at renown festival ROCK AL PARQUE in Bogotá, Colombia taking place on August 17th. CHE SUDAKA will be flying across the European continent from Budapest (Hungary) over to Bogotá, right after performing at SZIGET 2015, one of the largest music and cultural festivals in Europe. Moreover, the band will be presenting their sixth studio album ‘HOY’ at ROCK AL PARQUE 2015.
CHE SUDAKA garnered a ton of support from the Colombian people due to their involvement in the PARO AGRARIO movement against Monsanto. In addition, singer and guitarist Leonardo Fernández was asked to play in a soccer match alongside Diego Maradona and various other Latin American players in the Peace in Colombia game at Techo stadium earlier this year.
ROCK AL PARQUE is considered the largest rock festival in Colombia and one of the most important in Latin America, arguably the largest free rock festival in the continent. Their performance at ROCK AL PARQUE will be another breakthrough in CHE SUDAKA´s touring career, adding to their 2015 world tour roster, which already includes 40 dates in 12 different countries since the beginning of the year. In March they toured Oceania for the first time, where they were invited to perform at WOMADelaide in Australia and WOMAD NZ in New Zealand.

ABOUT CHE SUDKA
Formed in 2002 in the Mediterranean seaport of Barcelona, Spain CHE SUDAKA is recognized today as the flagship group of movement “mestizo music”. Wherever the two Argentinean brothers, Leo and Kachafaz, along with their Colombian comrades Cheko and Jota, appear, their fusion of rebellious Cumbia, cheerful Rumba, Ska with a touch of Latin and straightforward Punk guarantees a “fiesta” that makes you dance and think! Their expressive social critical lyrics break down any ideological or physical frontiers and defend the human co-existence against political and media divides. CHE SUDAKA has played more than 1,200 concerts in 42 countries and has become symbolic of a counterculture and attitude towards life connecting people of the same mindset all over the planet.

“Great band, loads of energy and difficult not to dance to.” – Malcolm Haynes / Glastonbury Festival UK
“A band of renegades that can really drive a crowd wild. They tore up the Carnival Star and Moonshine stage on the slopes of Mount Fuji. Perfect for any festival.” – Jason Mayall / Fuji Rock
“One of those bands you have to see once in your lifetime! I had a smile on my face from the first beat until the very last!” – Fruzsina Szép / Sziget Festival HU
“Che Sudaka deliver a fierce punk reggae Barça Latino groove, a delicious radioactive musical soup that will make you move, make your hair fall out and rearrange your soul. PS: Did someone electrocute the drummer like in Spinal Tap?” – Peter Culshaw / music journalist, author of “Clandestino – In Search of Manu Chao”
“UB40 draw great inspiration from musicians who are totally committed to their music and performance, you cant fake ‘soul’ & you can’t buy musical integrity so when a band like Che Sudaka steps on stage you have no choice but to listen.” – Brian Travers / UB40
