This past august 5th, in Washington, DC. The National Association of Hispanic Journalists, presented Mrs. Cynthia Hudson, Senior Vice President and General Manager of CNN en Español and Hispanic strategy for CNN/U.S. with the NAHJ Presidential Award of Impact. This award recognized Mrs. Hudson’s unwavering commitment to journalism, the pursuit of the truth and her leadership in journalism.

“Throughout her entire career, Cynthia has defied obstacles and succeeded without question,” said Mekahlo Medina, NAHJ President. “Along the way, she brings up more Latinos and sets the stage for fair and accurate coverage of our community.”

This conference was the largest gathering of Latino and Black journalists in the United States. The National Association of Hispanic Journalists along with the National Association of Black Journalists hosted 4,000 journalists from the country’s largest print, television, radio and digital media companies.

Past recipients of the Presidential Award have been Pulitzer Prize, Peabody, Dupont winners and journalists who have gone above and beyond in pursuit of the truth.
