"Duran To Play SXSW 2016"
The representative of ‘Nü Cumbia’ will perform in several showcases at SXSW. This will be the second time Duran performs at the festival. He was previously invited as a part of the official Billboard showcase in 2012. For this edition, Duran will be performing alongside artists like Bloc Party, Crystal Castles, Phases, The Crookes, Fear of Man and Prince Rama, just to name a few.

“Al Sur Tour”, his 2012 tour, was documented in 30 episodes that narrate his experiences and travels throughout all of South America. For over four months he he traveled the continent performing in 150 cities. Watch the trailer for the documentary here.
El Fandango del Infierno” and “Bolero Antisemita” are only two of his best known songs. “Bolero Antisemita” topped the viral Spotify charts in Colombia. Acknowledged as one of the pioneers of the  “NÜ Cumbia”,  Duran mixes dashes of traditional caribbean  music from Colombia with urban rhythms, resulting in a unique sound and musical personality  that have become his trademark for over a decade.  After his performance at SXSW, Duran will take to the road  to bring “Al Sur Tour” through Texas, Florida and Mexico. Upon returning to Colombia, we will continue  with the production of “Planeta Rica”, his new album.
