The holiday season continued to gear up at Macy’s with Latina magazine’s Fashion Director Verky Arcos. This fashionista has held many titles, but fashion is her calling. Before the event kicked off, the first 100 reserved attendees to check in at the Impulse table received a ticket to redeem a goody bag after the event. Verky stepped onto the stage looking fierce wearing an all-black ensemble with Make-up artist Devon and a model. During the presentation, attendees indulged on Baked by Melissa cupcakes. I couldn’t help, but grab a few myself (so delicious.)
If they only had some drinks to go with it… Now, let’s get back to the program.
While Devon demonstrated some beauty products on the model, Verky shared her holiday beauty tips with not only the latest trends, but tricks to glamming up the holiday fun. She discussed the purpose of lipstick and the shades to use for skin tones. Although red is a go to color, purple lipstick is the newest trend. All the celebs are wearing it, which is also a look for chic and sexy. It seems to stand out when you’re adventurous and bold. Verky emphasized on exfoliating your lips during the winter months. No matter what lip color you use, you want to make sure you have smooth flawless lips. The holidays are always about glitz and glamour and every woman needs a little shimmer. Don’t be afraid to use a pop of color regardless the skin tone. There is a color for everyone and own what you are rocking.
Once the event ended, Verky mingled and took photos with a few of the attendees. Those who received a ticket went to redeem their goody bags. I definitely learned a few things myself and I know who to look for when seeking advice.
