The pop trio Los Hollywood is enriching the developing-artist scene, announcing the release of its EP, along with a U.S. tour opening for legendary Colombian band Aterciopelados.
Its five-song self-titled EP is available in CD and digital formats. The tour launches from the group’s home base of San Diego, and continues all the way to Atlanta. This group comprises SESAC Latinaaffiliates Gustavo Mojica, Heidy Flores and Marco Mondragón.
Los Hollywood’s sound can be described as a fusion of Latin with Anglo-American pop/rock.
Its first single is “Hasta Mañana” (Until Tomorrow), which vocalist Heidy Flores describes as “an energetic song with a catchy swing, whose lyrics are inspired by unrequited love.”
Drummer Gustavo Mojica emphasized the work of the EP’s producer, multiple GRAMMY® winner Thom Russo, who “captured the essence of the band and contributed greatly to what Los Hollywoodis today.”
The group’s versatility is on display with the English-language song “Nobody Knows,” whose sound is “indie pop with a more acoustic touch,” as guitarist Marco Mondragón observes.
Los Hollywood’s tour in support of Aterciopelados kicks off October 1 in San Diego (House of Blues), and continues in Oakland (Fox Theater), Phoenix (Crescent Ballroom), and Tucson (Rialto), before concluding in Atlanta (Smith’s Olde).
