Los Rakas, the critically acclaimed hip hop duo from Oakland, took a trip back to their roots last week. Raka Rich and Raka Dun touched down in Panama to film a brand new music video during the Carnavales de Panama with the help of the Panamanian Ministry of Tourism.

“It’s a one of a kind experience. The Ministry of Tourism in Panama rolled out the red carpet for us to film this video,” stated Ricardo (aka Raka Rich). The duo criss-crossed the country to get the perfect shots- from Panama City to Playa Blanca to Chitra to Las Tablas. The video will be premiering at the upcoming Raka Party a the New Parish in Oakland on 2/20.

While in Panama, Los Rakas appeared on highly regarded media such as Super Q, Caliente, Los 40 Principales and Maxima with a special announcement- They will be releasing a new album on June 10 via Universal.

Leading up to the release, the duo will bringing their fire to cities across the country. Their first confirmed date is at the El Rey in Los Angeles in March 12 as part of Calentura’s album release party in association with Fania Records. More dates to be announced soon!
