Manuel Garcia has been characterized by his original and infectious style– blending sweet folk, reminiscent of Violeta Parra and Victor Jara before him, with modern Latin rock. His lyrics are often inspired by Chilean politics, his voice otherworldly.
His musical career has taken him all over the world, including on tour with the infamous Calle 13 in 2015, during which they performed the song ‘Ojos color sol’ together. He and Jack Johnson have collaborated on a composition called ‘Farewell’ (based on a Pablo Neruda poem) for the Australian documentary ‘The Sea My Soul’. All five of Manuel’s albums have obtained platinum or multi-platinum sales in Chile.
Manuel is currently recording his sixth album between the US and Chile with guitarist and co-producer Craig Thatcher.
