Superstar Marc Anthony is the latest act confirmed for a Q&A at the upcoming 25th annual Billboard Latin Music Conference. Anthony will be interviewed during the Billboard Icons Q&A, taking place April 23 at 4:15 p.m. at the JW Marriot Marquis in Miami.
Anthony, one of the top finalists for this year’s Billboard Latin Music Awards, comes to the conference after a singularly successful year that kicked-off at the 2013 Billboard Latin Music Awards, where he premieredhis new single “Vivir Mi Vida.” The track shot to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart and spent 18 weeks on the top spot. Anthony’s album 3.0 (Sony Music Latin), his first salsa studio set in a decade, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart and closed the year as the top-selling Latin album of 2013. Related Articles
Anthony will discuss the success of 3.0 and “Vivir Mi Vida” as well as his ongoing tour, his philanthropic endeavors through his Maestro Cares Foundation-he inaugurated an orphanage in the Dominican Republic last week-and his upcoming projects, including an English-language album.
“Marc Anthony is one of the top artists in the world in any language and genre. It’s a privilege to celebrate his success as part of our 25th anniversary,” said Billboard’s Leila Cobo, who will conduct the interview.
Anthony joins a roster of top acts participating at the conference, including Q&As with Enrique Iglesias, Laura Pausini and songwriter Omar Alfanno and panels featuring acts like Alexis & Fido, Carlos Vives, Elvis Crespo, Leslie Grace, Jencarlos Canela, Roberto Tapia, La Marisoul, Kat Dhalia and Oscarcito.
The 25th annual Billboard Latin Music Conference, presented by State Farm in association with Pepsi, takes place April 21-23 and culminates with the Billboard Latin Music Awards, which will air live on the Telemundo network April 24.
