One of the biggest stars in Latin music, Marc Anthony, is returning to the Dominican Republic next month to perform on the magical stage of the Altos de Chavón Amphitheater with his show “Live!” on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 8:30 pm.
The singer, hailing from Puerto Rico, has demonstrated his affection for the Dominican Republic and on this occasion is expected to bring down the house with a unique performance, in which he will perform the best of his new music and other hits throughout his more than two decades in the music industry.
Anthony is visiting Altos de Chavón during a monumental stage of his career, as many of the songs from his recent album have been nominated for the foremost awards in Latin music. Additionally, Guinness World Records recently recognized him for having the most year-end best-selling albums in the tropical albums’ chart by a solo artist. Rounding off a successful year, Marc broke the record for sales of a single show in the majestic Madison Square Garden in New York on February 6th.
Some of the performer’s greatest popular hits include: “Cambio de piel,” “Y hubo alguien,” “Vivir mi vida,” “Flor pálida,” “Te conozco bien,” “No me conoces,” “Tu amor me hace bien,” “Contra la corriente,” “Qué precio tiene el cielo,” “A quien quiero mentirle,” “Hasta ayer” and “Valió la pena,” among others.
“It is an enormous pleasure for our resort to host Marc Anthony again, as he is one of the most legendary and admired Latin artists,” stated Rafael Torres, president of Casa de Campo. “To enjoy his music on a stage with as much history and prestige as Altos de Chavón is sure to be a memorable experience for our guests.”
Anthony’s performance is part of a schedule of high-quality artistic events that demonstrate all that Casa de Campo Resort and Villas has to offer with regard to entertainment, activities and amenities, something that also impacts the Dominican Republic as a principal tourist destination in the Caribbean.
