"Nortec Collective Presents: Bostich + Fussible Return to Coachella!"
After recently rocking the main stage at Mexico’s Vive Latino festival for tens of thousands of Mexican fans, Nortec Collective Presents: Bostich+ Fussible will bring their critically-acclaimed stage show to the sold-out Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California on Saturday, April 11th and 18th.
Things have come full circle for the duo, with their announcement that their latest album, “Motel Baja“, would be their last under the Nortec banner and Coachella performances flanking the early years of Nortec (they played the festival in 2001) and now closing out this chapter in their musical career.
The Los Angeles Times named Bostich + Fussible the Best Festival Performance in 2014 for their set at the Supersonico Festival, calling their show, “visually stunning, rhythmically dense.â€
A favorite amongst radio stations around the U.S., PRI’s The World named ‘Motel Baja’ as one of the Top Picks for 2014. In the late 90s, NortecCollective emerged from a burgeoning electronic scene in Tijuana, and invented a new style of music they called Nortec – a fusion of Norteño (“from the North”) and Techno.Documenting the collision between electronic music characterized by heavy dance beats and traditional forms of Mexican music performed with live instrumentation, Nortec Collective paved the way for a new generation of producers and DJs that have reinvented electronic music from a global perspective. Bostich (Ramón Amezcua) and Fussible (Pepe Mogt) are two of the original co-founders of Nortec Collective, and have continued to push the envelope with an explosive live show that has toured extensively across the globe.
