Born in Bogata, Colombia, Paola Duarte has become a rising star in the entertainment industry with her ability to perform and achieve success as a singer, actress, and major print model. She recites her early influences derive from her grandfather who was a radio host & Latin recording artist in Colombia, as well as her father Jaime, who was a jeweler by day and played the drums for local bands at night. Her mother, Azucena, was a guitar player, hair stylist, as well as a designer. Growing up around so much influence, ignited Paola’s fascination for music, melodies, dancing, and modeling, she wanted to do it all. Around the age of 7, she began attending some modeling-acting academies throughout Colombia, while also participating as a dancer, singer, and model throughout any local entertainment venues and/or competitions. Soon after and hoping to build a better future, her family moved to the United States, and settled in New Jersey, which would bring her closer to the entertainment industry.
Passionate to be a performing artist (vocalist mainly), she learned to shape her talent & confidence by enrolling in several singing and acting classes in New York. She even took up learning to play the Alto Saxophone instrument (after being influenced by Kenny G’s clarinet work, which she played all through middle school). During high school, she began to focus on her singing a little more, performing as a member of the choir, and starting to write down her own lyrics for her own music that she hoped to produce someday. Upon graduating and while still attending multiple dance/vocal auditions, Paola was discovered by Ahlilah (industry manger), and recruited to join the R&B group B.L.U.E. at the age of 17. After a short unsuccessful run, the group dismembered. Paola moved on as a solo artist, contributing vocals for several R&B & Latin bands, as well as working along side artists such as Lopez (singer) and Wilmer Manga (lead vocalist of Los Internacionales del Vallenato) Salsa group N’Talla, and was lead female vocalist in Vallenato band “La Potencia Latina”. She took the opportunity to begin working with some producers to record her own tracks to help her advance as a solo artist, which she currently performs at entertainment venues throughout New York & New Jersey.
In a short amount of time, what began as a fascination with music, became a passion to be a performer, and has helped Paola to become a sought after singer. Her charisma & talent that takes the stage is nothing short of spectacular, and it parallels with her other work as a model and actress. Already in a short amount of time, she has become a vocalist for several bands, performed her own tracks, modeled for photographers Frank Antonio (NY), Caliber Photography (NJ), DB Photography (PA), Reflex Studios (NJ), fashion giant Express Gear, as well as appeared in music videos for Xtreme Flow, Fo’ Onassis, Sayla V, Trained Salsa Dance at Otto Dance Show & Ritmo Cache (Salsa), Pure Bliss Entertainment (Go-Go), Danceology Entertainment, Center Stage (Hip-Hop), even performed as a dancer for the theatre show Beatlemania in Atlantic City and a horror film to be released soon. If anything is certain, Paola has no intention of slowing down in her pursuit to become a staple in the music, model, and film industry. She is every element of a performing artist.
