The singer, songwriter and music producer Yunel Cruz presents his new single “No Vuelve”, the first of his album titled “Divina Voluntad”. Yunel is a bona fide representative of the second generation Hispanics in the United States, which brings together the best of both worlds, bachata, inherited from his Dominican roots and the urban flavor of the nuyorican streets. The new album symbolizes a new step in his career, with Machete Music, and with new representation under the elite Urban Latino Marketing Management and Sports Group.
Prominent artist manager and concert promoter Adam Torres, an expert in the music industry and who is behind successful concerts in major venues in the United States leads this new management team. He’s been linked with the successful musical careers of artists like Don Omar, DLG, among others. “It is a pleasure to work with an artist like Yunel. Yunel Cruz will be presenting his new single at the historic Radio City Music Hall in the Big Apple, during the “The Best Of The 90’s Merengue Edition”. This series of concerts have become a tradition and an important showcase for artists. Big stars like Willie Colon, Oscar De Leon, India, Jerry Rivera, Sergio Vargas, among others have been part of this series of concerts.
Yunel Cruz is one of the most promising new artists in the competitive genre of Latin urban music in the industry. Cruz is the son of a prominent percussionist who’s played with renowned artists like Wilfrido Vargas and Fernando Villalona. In addition, Yunel Cruz plays the cello and trombone as well as songwriting since the age of 9. He is also a graduate of Fisher College in Boston with a degree in Music Business Administration.
Cruz has also debuted in 2010 at the “Peter Jay Sharp” Broadway Theater, captivating audiences with his charisma and melodic voice. He’s also gained wide recognition in the music industry with several of his songs becoming radio hits, reaching the Top Ten of Billboard magazine in the genre of “Bachata Urbana”. In addition, he has collaborated with Don Omar and as a musical producer he produced the bachata remixes of “Se Vende” for Alejandro Sanz and “Tienes Que Creer En Mi” for Frankie Jay, among others.
