Sports Illustrated kicked off their swimsuit week with a two day fan festival in NYC. On this brutally cold day, fans of all ages waited outside of the Altman building until the doors open.
Once entered, posters of the swimsuit models were showcased throughout the venue. Men flocked to the guest service desk to purchase the latest issue to meet their woman crush (Rhonda Rousey, Hannah Ferguson, Chanel Iman etc.). Most of the men in attendance purchased every cover ($9.95 each) for the autograph sessions. Schick, Lane Bryant, Daytona 500, and Lexus were some of the event sponsors. Each sponsor had a booth with interactive games and photo sessions.
Lane Bryant celebrated their “this body is made for” campaign with a photo booth and meet and greet with plus size models Denise Bidet, Penelope Lee and Tara Lynn. Each person that took a portrait or animated gif in the booth received a special edition campaign shirt and tote bag.
Schick provided complimentary shaves and razors while supplies last. Lexus held a virtual reality experience that took you on the photo shoot with some of your favorite models.
