On Wednesday, January 3, Prince Royce kicked off the New Year by participating in an #XboxLiveSession, playing the award-winning Rocket League game and answering fans’ questions, in celebration of the Three Kings Day (El Dia De Los Reyes Magos).
To celebrate the Three Kings’ Day holiday, Xbox is offering family-friendly games like Rocket League for FREE with the purchase of a three-month subscription to Xbox Live Gold. You can find the offer here.
“I have always been an Xbox fan,” said Royce. “I’m very thrilled to be here right now.” Royce, who began gaming at the age of 4, admitted he was addicted to playing Call of Duty 4 back in the day, and he currently owns 4 Xbox consoles. Because he is constantly on the road, he has an Xbox specifically for travelling, one in New York, one in L.A., and one in Miami. The last console is a customized black and gold Xbox One X with his name engraved.
During the session, Royce highlighted the significance of the Three Kings’ Day holiday for the Hispanic community. As a Dominican who was born and raised in New York, Royce explained that the Three Kings’ Holiday means special traditions with his loved ones, such as enjoying the Rosca de Reyes.
This Three Kings’ Holiday tradition was introduced to Royce by his Mexican-Lebanese girlfriend, actress and model Emeraude Toubiam. The Rosca de Reyes is a sweet cake pastry, shared within a family, that contains a plastic baby inside as a good luck charm. “I try not to get the baby, so I can keep eating,” said Royce. “If you get the baby, then you don’t want to eat anymore.”
