Netflix is premiering the first season of Crime Diaries: The Candidate today, featuring Ana Tijoux’s “La Bala” as its theme song. Each episode will be introduced with this song, which is off the album La Bala. Upon its release, the album was nominated for both a GRAMMY and a Latin GRAMMY.
In just 3 weeks, Ana Tijoux’s follow up to the certified gold album 1977, La Bala, is available on vinyl for the first time ever. This special edition white vinyl is available for Record Store Day on April 13th and features 11 songs, including collaborations with Academy Award and Latin GRAMMY winner Jorge Drexler and Curumin, among others. Tijoux was born in France to a French mother and a Chilean father in political exile during Pinochet’s dictatorship. After a return to democracy, the family moved to Chile, where she found a home in the emerging hip-hop scene of Santiago. 1977 has been featured on the hit TV show Breaking Bad and the soundtrack to EA’s FIFA game.
