"Recap: “Power” – Season 2 Episode #6 – Why Her?"

Power-season-2-pic

The red head bares her teeth and shows she’s not the pushover they thought she was, a new game plan is rolled out for the dope game, someone else finds out about Angela (and wait until you see their reaction) and is there a new couple alert about to go off?  Here’s what you need to know before tonight’s all new episode of Power.

Angela (Lela Loren) had her world flipped upside down after Holly (Lucy Walters) dropped the bomb that Jamie and Ghost are the same person.  Holly uses it to her advantage pitting Angie’s back to the wall and threatening to talk unless Angela clears Tommy from her investigation.  To make matters worse Greg Knox (Andy Bean) now knows that Angela and Jamie know each other which makes Knox wonder what else is she hiding.  He follows Angie thinking she’s meeting up with Jamie, but instead catches her meeting up with Holly.  Angie needs proof to support Holly’s claim that Jamie and Ghost are the same person.  Holly remembers seeing Ghost with a gun and if she can find that gun, it could be the proof Angela needs to prove Jamie is Ghost and thus clearing Tommy.  Holly tells Tommy that the Fed’s brought her in for questioning and that if she helps Angela get Ghost that the two of them would walk.  GOOD thing she handcuffed him before she told him everything because Tommy went BALLISTIC!  I think it’s safe to say it’s over between those two and Ghost eventually got what he wanted, thought not by his own hand.

Speaking of Ghost (Omari Hardwick) and Tommy (Joseph Sikora), they hold a meeting with the heads of all the crews to rework business.  Now that everyone is on board,  collectively they can push product faster to get money quicker so that they can pay Lobos on time.  The leaders are encouraged to expand throughout NYC without stepping on each others toes.  With Kanan who out of town, Dre (Rotimi Akinosho) who’s his #2 is left in charge to run the show, but Ghost leaves him out of the meeting having never met him as yet.  Ruiz (Luis Antonio Ramos) has Dre meet him at his gym to inform Dre about the meeting.  Ruiz believes it wasn’t anything against Dre and thinks Ghost doesn’t trust Kanan which is why Dre was never informed about the meeting.  Ruiz also thanks Dre for killing the man that shot one of his men and in Ruiz’s eyes Dre is a stand up guy.  For that Ruiz and his crew have Dre’s back, but informs Dre that it doesn’t apply to Kanan.  I wonder if Dre is gonna start getting ideas of his own.  Hmmmmmmm.

Tasha (Naturi Naughton) leans on Shawn (Sinqua Walls) for support during this trying time in her life.  She has him take her to a gun range to brush up on her skills and gives him a few pointers.  Later she recieves a call that Ghost was in a car accident and had been arrested for a DUI.  She goes to pick him up and they end up seeing Angela at the precinct.  Tasha drives him back to his hotel and it’s then that they finally have “the talk” that’s been a long time coming.  He confesses that Angie his high school sweetheart, that he never stopoed loving her as well as that she’s a federal prosecutor and trying to arrest Tommy.  FML!  Tasha’s reaction made viewers go OH SHIT!  She thinks Ghost needs to use Angie’s feelings for him to their advantage and tells him “you keep fucking that bitch until I tell you to stop.”  If that wasn’t enough, she arrives back home and finally gives in to her attraction to Shawn as the two make love inside the SVU Shawn drives.  Talk about full service dammit!   Can I get some man candy to chauffeur me around, carry my bags and keep my bed warm?  The next new drama filled juicy chapter airs tonight on an all new episode of Power.  Ceck your local listings for channel information, Power airs Saturdays at 9pm on Starz.
