Captain Myjestic “Jessie” Anderson, cast member of the National Geographic Channel’s hit documentary series, Wicked Tuna – Outer Banks, announced today that she will not be returning to the reality show. Anderson served as co-captain on the Reel Action and its’ all-female crew for Season 2 of Wicked Tuna – Outer Banks.
“I fish for funds and fun, not fame,” said Anderson. “After all of the drama last season on the Reel Action, I’ve concluded that it’s just not for me.” The crew of Reel Action finished second to last in the season’s tuna fishing competition, by only catching one fish all season.
Anderson is choosing to focus on her Carolina Girl Charter Fishing business and making herself available for personal appearances and fishing seminars. Jessie calls upon her lifetime of fishing the waters off the Outer Banks and her well-equipped vessel, Carolina Girl, to provide memorable offshore experiences for guests.
Wicked Tuna – Outer Banks is the southern spin-off of the highly successful reality show based in Gloucester, MA. The network has not yet announced when Season 3 will premiere. During her season on the show, Anderson was feature aboard the Reel Action alongside volatile co-captain Tami Gray and first mate Dita Young.
“In theory, an all female crew was a good idea,” said Anderson. “But the show took a lot of time away from my charter business and other things that I enjoy doing.”
In between charters, Anderson is making herself available to make personal appearances and for speaking engagements, where she will share her experiences from the show and her entire fishing career. More information about booking Jessie can be acquired by e-mailing: patrick@patrick4pr.
