From writer/producer/director of DADDY’S HOME and DADDY’S HOME 2 comes a personal touch with INSTANT FAMILY.

INSTANT FAMILY follows Pete (Mark Wahlberg) and Ellie (Rose Byrne), a couple who decide to start a family. Stumbling upon the world of foster care adoption, they hope to take in one small child, but when they meet three siblings, including a rebellious teen (Isabela Moner), they find themselves going from zero kids to three in a matter of a day. Now, Pete and Ellie must try to learn the ropes of instant parenthood in hopes of becoming a family. The film is inspired by real live events from the writer/director/producer, Sean Andres! Also starring in the film is Octavia Spencer, Tig Notaro, Margo Martindale, Julie Hagerty and Michael O’Keefe.

The most important thing in my life (and I’m sure for others) is family. That’s the whole purpose of this film. I really enjoyed the flick for what it was. It is sweet, passionate, moving, powerful in a lot of ways, and overall entertaining. There are jokes and scenes (just a handful) that fall flat, but for the most part, INSTANT FAMILY is more than fun. It’s a message. It has a lot of heart. It’s a thought-provoking piece that touches on unity, whether blood-related or not.

At the film’s press junket in NYC on October 28, the film’s lead cast members, producer and director of the film shared thoughts on the production. From family, to being on set, and experiencing life as parents and more, INSTANT FAMILY’s press conference was as enjoyable and heartfelt as the film itself. Endure, educate and enjoy!
