The all-new “Without a Country” episode of EMPIRE airing Wednesday, Sept. 30 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

Scheming, scheming, scheming. Cookie and two of her sons decide to start their own label, but it’s off to a bumpy start as everyone has different visions for the new label.

I personally would have probably made it a contest to name Cookie’s new label. But that’s just me.

Anyway. Anika and Cookie are still at each other’s throats and really need to come together if this is really going to work. Hakeem who suppose to be the main artist on the roster decides to form a girl group and woos a hot Latina lead singer (guest star Becky G), but is this strictly professional?

Lucious returns to the doctor only to find out that his paperwork has been lost and his medication cannot be dispensed. International? We’ll see!!!

Jamal Lyon is still fully in charge of Empire and his art is suffering while he tries to balance running Empire and trying to run his own career.

Ludicris cameos as a corrections officer with a chip on his shoulder.

Hakeem decides he wants to become a mogul as well as an artist as a partner of the new Company. Does he have the chops to make that happen or does he need to return Empire where he would feel safe?

After Lucious changes to a new lawyer, and decides to bring himself back to what made his Empire.

The world is in a turmoil around the family.  But I think that’s what the show is about right? If these first two episodes are an indication of what this season holds, this is going to be a better season than the first.
