Recap: Vera Bradley Soho Grand Opening

In 1982, American luggage and handbag company Vera Bradley was founded by Barbara Bradley Baekgaard and Patricia R. Miller.  VB is known for its quilted designs and timeless pieces. There are multiple stores throughout the U.S and international including outlet locations. On September 21, VB celebrated its first NYC store located at 411 West Broadway in Soho. The grand opening was advertised throughout the City using shuttle trains and tour buses to announce the big day.

As I entered the store, I was greeted by friendly faces and an overview of leather bags. It immediately caught my attention because the bags came in multiple styles and was very fall trendy. Yellow, brown, and black were the popular colors  with fine quality for this particular collection. The one level store carries about 50-60 % of VB’s collection including accessories (sunglasses, scarfs, phone cases, luggage tags, charms etc.), luggage, and handbags. The NYC collection is the newest arrival featuring taxi and skyscraper designs which gives my stamp of approval. Vera Bradley Soho is here to stay and take advantage of the items that are available for in-store purchase. The holidays are approaching soon and would make wonderful gifts for all ages. A special thank you to store director Bridget Peters for her hospitality and lovely gifts. For store information and shopping, visit
