Review: Vulture Festival NYC 2017

Vulture festival held it’s annual event this past weekend to celebrate a variety of entertainment. Hit shows such as Jane the Virgin, Shameless, The Carmichael show, Riverdale, Kingdom, Mary Kills People and upcoming new shows were apart of the festivities. I attended the Mary Kills People screening and interview with cast members Caroline Dhavernas, Richard Short, and creator Tara Armstrong at Milk studios. Lifetime’s original series  follows the story of fictional lead character doctor Mary Harris who helps people suffering from terminally ill diseases or other conditions end their lives with a sense of comfort.

The first season had six episodes and received outstanding reviews from rotten tomatoes  and other critic websites. It is unlike any other show on TV and sheds light on topics that may not always be discussed. Most of the events were held at Milk studios which included complimentary access to the AT&T Vulture Lounge at Highline Stages. The access lounge included musical performances, beer, wine, food, and customized gifts  from selected TV shows/cable services. The festival was well-organized with line management, ticket check-in, seating and staff professionalism.
