"This Dad does Dreft!"

This is part of a sponsored collaboration with DiMe Media and Dreft. All opinions are 100% mine.

Even before my daughter Lucy was born I was so excited to go through everything. That included baths, laundry, waking up in the middle of the night to feed her; I mean EVERYTHING.  I always felt I was ready to be a father and now I was able to do so.  There are certain dynamics in my household and laundry is one of them.  I do my own laundry. Not because I don’t like the way my wife does it, but because I do it more regularly and she doesn’t like the way I do laundry.

Dreft Logo (1)From her birth, we have tried to feed her organic food, milk, things like that so that she doesn’t start her life filled with pesticides, hormones and whatever else is put in food nowadays. So when it came to Lucy’s laundry we followed the same approach. We searched for laundry detergent that fit our need for no heavy chemicals and perfumes and found Dreft. I mean how can you go wrong?  It’s the #1 baby laundry detergent, the choice of pediatricians and dermatologists and that made daddy happy since my little one is prone to eczema.

So using Dreft gave me peace of mind knowing that she wasn’t going to be wrapped in harsh chemicals and perfumes.  It was perfect for my newborn; who’s no longer a newborn, but a happy and healthy 2 year old running around and making a mess. So I am glad that Dreft also has laundry products that are specifically designed for different stages of babyhood. Specifically stage #2 for my Lucy!

1. Separating whites, colors and darks.
2. Pretreat stains with Dreft Laundry Stain Remover.
3. Toss laundry into machine with Dreft Scent Booster.
4. In the machines compartments add Dreft Detergent and vinegar as Fabric softener.
5. Set the machine to wash then toss clothes into dryer.
6. Fold or hang promptly.

Side note: use Dreft Stain remover on those harsh stains. Trust me. It’s an amazing product. Even for clothes not belonging to your babies.

I still don’t think I do it as good as my wife, but I’m almost there. I get that baby scent we all love and just taking a whiff of the laundered clothes brings me back to the entire babyhood journey.

Do you guys remember your own baby shower? I do. We planned for about 20-30 people to be crammed into our apartment and ended up with about 40-50. But I wouldn’t have changed it for the world.

That’s why when I see images of Sean and Catherine Lowe’s baby shower, I know how special that moment is.  Who better than to partner up with than Dreft themselves? Their Dreft “Loads of Love” baby shower on April 27th was the culmination of love that began from “The Bachelor” now they celebrate their new roles as expectant parents in #Amazinghood.
