As the world we once known is no longer existent, the fight for humanity is the only survival. It is the year 2029 and machines have taking over. What’s left is the human resistance and its leader John O’Connor (Jason Clarke) to protect the future. Since the future is uncertain, John makes a mission to send one of the soldiers back in time to protect Sarah O’Connor (Emilia Clarke). As everyone offers to volunteer, only one stands out and it is Sgt. Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) that convinces John to let him travel to 1984. Sgt. Reese is different from the other soldiers and has been studying all that he needs to know to not make the mission a failure.
As Sgt. Reese travels back to 1984, he meets Sarah and some terminators including T-800 (Arnold Schwarzenegger) along the way. He is at death’s door and heavily targeted while trying to protect Sarah. Sgt. Reese can’t look back and has to play it smart. He puts his trust into Sarah (such a bad ass) and they embark on a twist of faith. An unexpected turn occurs as they travel back to the future. They are met by a force that cannot be reckon with. Mankind is controlled by a computer system called Genisys, which holds the key to destruction. It controls and documents your every move. It’s bigger than social media and undeniably sucks you in. They face one of the biggest battles that will determine whether the future can be saved.
Straight action packed with a major plot twist! It keeps you on the edge of your seat as the past battles the future. Can’t teach an old dog new tricks.
